I would never recommend eCost, nor would I purchase from them again.

I would NEVER recommend eCost.com. I bought a computer on 12/4/08 as a Christmas present for my grandson. It was a good thing that I opened the box and attempted to start the computer. It was the same brand but the wrong model. The computer was bubble wrapped in a plain brown box - no papers, no manual, NO OPERATING SYSTEM - absolutely nothing but the wrong computer bubble wrapped in a plain brown box - and I've been trying ever since to return the computer and have my money refunded. When I called Customer Service to try to find out what to do to return the computer, they told me that they would research it - get back to me with an "RA" number - unless I had an "RA" number when I returned the computer, my credit card would be charged a "restocking fee." Then, the customer service person told me to "take a picture" and send it to them to prove that I received the wrong computer. I asked to speak to a supervisor - but was told they "couldn't find one." I sent an e-mail to Customer Service - no reply was ever received from them, although they sent me an e-mail saying they would respond to my complaint within 48 hours. I have since received an "RA" number - but have not received a "shipping label", as promised, so that I would not have to pay to send it back. This is my first, and it will be my last, experience with eCost.com.
