Re: Sorry to hear about your grandfather's death (Reply to this comment)

So, will you avoid these meet-ups in future?
Well, actually, my other grandmother passed away a week ago, and she was my only living grandparent. So there appears to be no further jinx to fear.

Yes, he does love show tunes. BTW, we made out freshman year. Be jealous.
Haha, this makes me laugh that you wrote this now.

It's my sons, the Luchadors who I say that. We had to come up with a better way of getting across what they wanted to get across.
Nice job though it's only a year or so late.
Nice to see you Thursday as well. Too bad you had to check out early. Carletta, her hubby, Christal and I checked out a jazz spot later that night.
Take care.

Apparently, I stop snoring if you just push me over onto my side.
Alas, there was nary a familiar face at the dinner last night, apart from Garrett, Christal, and Cletta in a last-minute (from my perspective, as I had to leave fairly early to catch a train at a reasonable hour) arrival, and I'd have loved to see you, too. If you plan something in NYC, I'll do my best to make it up. I'm busy the weekend of July 28, if you're already thinking of dates.

You are (and I say this in the most loving fashion possible) absolutely insane.
I wanted to come to DC for the dinner last night, but...let's just say there was a ton of stuff going on that prevented me from doing so. And actually, considering the storm that has blanketed the NY/NJ metro area today, it was probably a good call.
I'm debating pulling together something informal in the NYC area this summer. Would love to see you again.
*And if I may add a (slightly embarrassing) aside to David's story, I must say that attempting to sleep between David & Tom (tbthorn) was like trying to sleep between two lawn mowers. How can something so little make so much noise? :-)
Take care,
Mike
