So far, I have been quite pleased with this printer. We purchased a new computer for our home office/business and needed a new printer with more capabilities to go with it. This one was not that much more than the other photo quality printers we looked at, and I have greatly appreciated having the fax, copier and scanner.
I have had the printer for 9 months now, and it has never jammed. The only problems I've ever had with the feeding mechanism have been my own fault. (I get lazy and try to feed envelopes through the paper tray without taking the paper out. Usually, it's not a problem, but occasionally it wrinkles the envelope if I don't get it lined up right.)
When I've scanned in pictures and then printed them after cropping them, they're not quite the quality of the original, but that could simply be a difference in the photo paper being used for each. If you didn't hold the two right next to each other, you'd never know the difference.
Installation, maintenance, and use have been quite easy. The only problem I've run into is that the software for the printer can cause some problems in the other applications I use. I've had to download some updates and am not sure yet if the entire problem has been fixed. It's more of a nuisance than anything else.
The use of the scanner/copier is somewhat limited since you have to be able to feed in whatever it is you want to copy or scan.
I've never used the email feature and do not have it hooked up to a network.
Overall, I've been quite pleased with it, and Hewlett Packard's customer service has been good, a little slow to respond to emails, but otherwise good.
