The Bottom Line I am not happy about the change that Blue Mountain has made so I will be looking for a FREE e-card site.

NOTE: My first review of Blue Mountain Greetings was a couple of years ago when I really enjoyed their website and free e-cards but when I visited their website recently I noticed their is a yearly membership fee to send cards. So since I will not be paying for the membership this review is written mainly in the past tense.
I used to really like Blue Mountain cards, in my opinion Blue Mountain cards was the best website for sending e-cards. I used to send them all the time to my family and friends. That was until recently I went to use their site to send some e-cards for Christmas and found out you have to be a member to send cards and you have to pay for your membership.
The first time I received one of these cards, I was so amazed how easy it is to view the card, just open the e-mail from Blue Mountain and click on the link....it was that easy.
The site was easy to navigate (which is something I really like), you just pick the category and a huge variety of cards came up. You could search through all the cards and find the one that works best for you.
At one time (maybe they still do, but I am not paying so I will never know) Blue Mountain Cards had a large variety of cards of greeting cards. What ever the occasion was... either birthdays, holidays, get well, good luck, wedding, anniversary, new baby, graduation, or a "just because card" I knew I would find it there.
I loved the fact that you can preview the cards before you sent them (just incase you have a tendency to make spelling errors like me). After you get all the parts filled out such as "to" and "from" and the message to the recipient all you had to do was click preview and the card (all filled out) would pop up and you simply checked for errors. If there was errors you click the edit button and if there were no errors you just pick the date you want to have your card sent, which was another handy feature. You could have your card sent immediately or have it set up to send two weeks or a month away.
The best part was that these cards "we're" free. Apparently now you have to be a member to use the service and membership is $11.95 per year. From what I read Membership gives you a full year of Unlimited Access to:
~ Thousands of holiday e-Cards, including Christmas, Hanukkah & Valentine's and Hundreds of Birthday cards
~ Make-your-own custom greetings for all occasions
~ Mousetrail e-Cards, downloadable screen savers and interactive games
and new-and-improved address book
~ Reminder service - Never forget another birthday or anniversary
~ Family Membership - three accounts for the price of one
If you would like to check out Blue Mountain Cards their website address is www.bluemountain.com but for me I am not happy about the change that Blue Mountain has made so I will be looking for a FREE e-card site.
UPDATE: http://www.123greetings.com does not charge for their cards.
