I first discovered Overstock.com around 4 years ago and was IMPRESSED....WOW. Great prices, speedy delivery, correct items shipped, and the one time I needed to return something, due to my fault, not theirs; they made it easy and they refunded me in a hurry. I didn't shop with them for a couple of years, because I have SO much stuff and when I returned over the last year, I was really shocked. First, I ordered a perfume miniature Calvin Klein set for my mother and they sent me the mens collection, even though I ordered the ladies one. The presentation box was damaged, when I received it, but because of this damage; I could not return it. I said, ok, this could happen with anyone and it was the holiday season. I ordered again & they finally (late) shipped the correct one. Another time, I ordered a film-card reader for my computer and nothing shipped but the item; no protective packing, installation cd, instructions, warranty card, anything. The card reader was loosely tossed into an oversized slightly padded envelope. As for the prices, they are no longer a great deal. Their electronic prices are a joke. Items that are outdated models, such as MP3 players and digital cameras are selling for what the newest models would sell for, at a department or electronic store. Why would you pay the same for an outdated and inferior product? The books and music are no longer a bargain. The designer clothing not only is priced much higher than before; the selection is not nearly as good as before. They have also added a lot of crap that no one would actually want to purchase. I've done some compartive shopping with some of their items and I can almost always find a better price elsewhere. I even sent an email to their customer service department and asked them....ummmm what happened??? They didn't respond. Shop around before you buy from them. You probably won't save money, or iyour item will ship in a half-hazard fashion, or the wrong item will ship.
