This was the first time I had the courage to buy a significant item ($500 range) over the phone/internet. Based on my experience, I highly recommend J&R.
I knew what I wanted. However, when I tried to order online, the website listed several different versions/models of the Apple Time Capsule. I was aware of only one version, in either a 1 or 2 terabyte size. Needless to say, I was confused, and unwilling to place an order online. And, I needed reassurance about shipping logistics.
Even though it was New Year's Eve, I decided to try calling J&R. Louis answered the phone! He was able to answer my questions and help me order the right product. He also gave me a better price. I am extremely pleased with the assistance I received from Louis.
Since I was going to travel cross-country, I needed to pick up my order from a third party location - within a three-day time window the following week. Louis assured me my order would be delivered within my timeframe. As the time approached, I began to worry, but J&R's order status, tracking and support is excellent. I was able to keep the destination informed and my order arrived on time, as promised.
The item also arrived in perfect condition because it was well packaged. Later, when I called Apple for installation support, they told me it was the latest version of the product. I had to use the installation software included in the box because Apple's Internet Download site had not been updated with the new software yet! Wow! J&R's excellent service, coupled with a better price than I can get locally, makes me want to be a regular customer.
