Believe! Achieve! Succeed! I Am a Published Author!Apr 24 '07 Write an essay on this topic. The Bottom Line I have always enjoyed this corner of Epinions! My Name is Not Monkey Girl! written and published to promote tolerance and compassion. As a child, I used my gift for writing to share my intimate thoughts and feelings in diaries and journals. Writing was my salvation! I continue to write to promote awareness as well as to inspire others. Here I am, years later, continuing to write with a purpose. I have written and self-published two books this year!! I am so grateful to see my lifelong dream of becoming published come to fruition. Both books, one an inspirational children's book called My Name is Not Monkey Girl, about the life of a little girl born with a Nevus (physical difference), and Chocolate Kisses, an adult poetry book, were written with a very specific goal in mind. The idea is to raise public awareness to a very rare skin condition that Candace was born with called Giant Congenital Nevus, while raising funds for her next series of surgeries!! What an amazing inspiration this child continues to be in my life!! Candace is almost eight years old now and what a lovely young lady she is growing into. She is tall like a blade of grass and thin. Her self esteem is higher than even I thought possible and for this I am truly grateful. Now in second grade, Candace has won the hearts of a few select girlfriends. In kindergarten, the toughest year in school for a child born with a birthmark on her face, Candace was befriended by a sweet little angel named Alaina. This precious little girl welcomed Candace into her life with unconditional love and was exactly what Candace needed to feel a part of the school community. Then Alaina moved away over the summer that year. When Candace started first grade, God sent her another angel named Kaleigh! Again, the two hit it off immediately and are like sisters now! Second grade brought Jordayn into Candace's circle of friends and I couldn't be happier seeing my granddaughter so excited when coming home from school each day. To peek at these two books or to make a purchase to help Candace, simply log into http://www.lulu.com/content/769790. It's that simple! Please pass this on to friends or family members. If you believe, you can achieve and you will succeed as you receive!! Do you believe that whatever you desire is within your reach? Do you conceive of all great things can be dictated to come into you and into your life? Who says that life must be a struggle filled with mental strife? If you believe then you can achieve!! If you believe, you can ACHIEVE!! It really is a simple idea.. not my idea.. a proven idea! Faith without work is dead! Act on your beliefs instead! If you believe that you can achieve then you will receive! It's just that simple! See my smile? See my dimple? This dimple of mine was always here yet, I never believed never truly cared to smile and show the dimple to myself! Then, one day while staring in the mirror I smiled and smiled, restyled my inner child and low and behold the dimple smiled at me!! See? If you believe you can achieve then you will receive all of His blessings into your life!!! No more mental strife! No more emotional baggage into your new life! I believe! I can achieve! I have faith that you can, too! Do you believe that you can achieve?? Well, do you? © 2007 Miriam L. Jacobs. All rights reserved.
