I've missed you for ages!
Sharing a brief story about the nevus disfigurement: My hubby, years before I married him, back in the late 1960's, asked the girl at our school who had such a birthmark, to the prom. She was called "wolfgirl" instead of monkey. My guy has always been a defender of the folks who were the object of taunting (it's part of why I love him)! He once jumped out of a second-story window to attack a group of boys who pulled down the pants of a boy who was mentally "slow" to embarrass him, earning the nickname "Superman" at our middle school. I'm proud to say my youngest son is always the first to befriend anyone "different" that he meets, in school or in the business world. I guess it's a family trait - I was the only one in our housing project growing up who would take time to try to understand the severely brain-damaged kid who had cerebral palsy. I cannot believe we are this "sophisticated" these days and STILL don't do a good job of teaching our children acceptance of differences. You go, girl! Wish you'd e-mail me some time!

I've just ordered your book--so Step One is accomplished.
Step Two--Read it! I guess I could be wrong, but I have a feeling it will be a real winner and will be given high marks by me when I go to Step Three...
Step Three--Review it!
Step Four--Send my review to my friends and encourage them to buy the book!
Step Five--Blog about it and encourage the same response!
