The canon s600 as a printer is superb, the printing quality is excellent,and it's only 150 bucks. The instructions that come with the printer are so simple you dont even need to be literate in english to set it up, the pictures explain it all. It also comes bundled with a slip to send off for additional free software. the canon s600 holds 4 colors which are included. You can can connect the printer to your computer using either the parallel port or usb port (the cords are not included so you have to buy that extra). The printer comes bundled with all the software you need, but you must have a cd-rom drive to install the drivers. operating the s600 is a breeze there are only two buttons, one is on/off and the other reset. The s600 can hold a lot of different types of paper.

This little printer is very quiet which is a big plus and it can print up to 6 color pags per minute. The images are the quality of a much more expensive printer. This printer is ideal for a college or high school student, beacause of its size ease of use and the fact that it is compatible with both windows and macs.

As for the customer service hotline, I was very dissapointed I was calling about the free software because I wanted to change my selection, I wa transfered to different departments about 5 times was on hold for about 30 minutes and when I finally asked to see the supervisor they put me on hold and never picked up again. very bad customer service.
