I went in for tires, I came out with tires

The Bottom Line The fine experience I had at the Ontario Mills location made tire buying a pleasure. I'll go back when the Subaru needs new tires, too.
Ontario Mills, Ontario, California location:
I booked the purchase of a set of BFGoodrich Traction T/A tires (70,000 mile warranty) for my wife's Honda Civic online and received a phone call confirming that the tires were in stock. On the day of the appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early and the counterman pulled up my order. He then said "I hope I didn't do what I think I did."
My internal "ScamAlarmŽ 3000" began sounding "Red alert! Red alert!" but was quickly disarmed when the counter guy told me he had inadvertently sold the tires to another customer. He offered a choice of a set of Kumho, Pirelli or Michellin tires for the same price. I took the Michellin Destiny (80,000 mile warranty) and the installation commenced. About 30 minutes later, they were handing me the keys.
No one insisted I buy a new set of wheels or threatened to void the warranty if I didn't purchase a front-end alignment. It's so refreshing these days to go to a major tire retailer, just for tires, and come home with nothing but the tires.
