Silent Lullaby (Sectional)

The Bottom Line "Pack your bags and we'll leave this old ghost town"

My first bonafide attempt at structured, composed writing of a song...I think. Let me know what you do. Oh, and (Sectional) has to be the most pointless sub-title I've ever scribbled down.

Coming up next: My 100th CD review

Silent Lullaby (Sectional)
Chorus:
(She’s) Dancing to an unseen lullaby
The tears come without a cry
She’s dawning on me
(It’s) Something you’d wait a lifetime to see
It bet no one else but her knows what love means

Oh, what a beautiful life
Cascading
She’s cutting her path in the grass
Creating
She’s shedding the rain with a dash
A lifetime’s path

Heaven squeezed her
Hell would steal her
If she was any less pure

Chorus

She says she likes the feel of the dew
She says I should try it
I’d like it too
Cleansing the toes by jogging
Inhaling the oxygen from the sleepy willow
She’s using the mild crest as a wavy pillow
It’s mind boggling
And she’s fainting in the mist

Chorus

And I swear she looked surprised
When I couldn’t divert mine
From her emerald green eyes
She’s leaving again
But I don’t want it to end
Here, today, my friend
Her silver won’t rust
She’s standing at the cusp
Of the edge of what I’ve never felt

Heaven now hugs her
Angels confront her
Learning the secret of life before death
