Ah yes Smorg, that's brilliant! I will definitely re-tool this one later. Perhaps my collaborator will get involved. I was just thinking what a great font of opera and opera related knowledge you are. I may be bugging you later.

(Sorry 4 the late reply)

Man, I hope the opera is Wagner's 'Die Walkuere' and the diva is the Brunnhilde... and that she has her horned helmet on when she head-butts the guy. ;oP

Then the note she would crack would be one of the high C's during the famous Act III Vorspiel or the Hojotojo!... maybe the horse she is riding (Grane) was jerking or something as she sings?

I don't know if they're still doing it much, but back in the mid 20th Century, they were using real horse for Grane a lot, and there are loads of funny anecdotes of stage mishaps involving Brunnhilde and her steed. I think Birgit Nilsson's Grane actually bit her onstage once... She had been appeasing him with sugar during the rehearsals, but then forgot to bring the sugar for the real show, so he wasn't happy. ;oP

Anyhow! Thanks for the fun read, bro! Looking forward to reading your next one.

Cheers,
Smorg :o)

Hiya Will! Thanks for reading the short.

Seeing this developed to the end. Hmmmmm, therein lies the problem with the one page, one minute short. To tell a story with those limitations makes it a bit difficult to come up with something more than a one liner. The duel was cancelled by the diva. That's it.

But, thanks to your feedback on this, I shall revive the script and develop more of an ending.

Thanks Mucho
