I have my mortgage through GMAC Mortgage... and I am infuriated! I called customer service because I switched my home-owners insurance policy, saving myself around two hundred dollars. I requested an escrow analysis so my monthly payment would reflect these savings. Six months later, I called again trying to find out why my bill had still not changed. I spent an hour and a half on the phone, being placed on hold for great lengths of time, everytime, as they sent me back and forth from India to the United States. I repeatedly told them that I absolutely refused to deal with anybody other than an american citizen working in an american establishment. It turns out that it wasn't even possible. After stating my info. eight different times and being transfered more times than that, they flat-out hung up on me because they knew there was no way this could be done with an american entity. So I had to start all over and eventually listened while an american rep. straightened it out with an Indian foreigner. Absurd. These criminals used to get over $900 in interest every month from me on my 30 yr mortgage. Now they get over $600 a month in interest, I switched to a 15 yr note, and are saving money by burning it in out-sourcing at my time and expense. (All money sent over-seas is like burning it. We don't see it again. Period.) AND OUR GOVERNMENT BAILED ALL THESE CRIMINALS OUT??? Its sickening. Think of our children Obama! And not your personal gravy train in Washington. If I could sue these people ..I would. Don't buy anything from them. And don't buy foreign goods people... that money never comes back to the states and are children will suffer for it! The rich are getting richer while our way of life is being destroyed.
