Pros: very good image quality, fair price
Cons: Slow to start, awful color correction, awful twain software
The Bottom Line: Would recommend the 1250 photo, the slide adaptor produces
far better results than the Agfa E50 /E52.

| gdesign's Full Review: Epson Perfection 1250U Photo Flatbed Scanner |
Excellent scanner image quality
Both Auto color and ICM render images dark and spotty
recommend not using twain color correction.
Fantastic on B/W photo's and text documents.
Has problems with dark images /photos tend to get spotty and
when lightened in graphics software become full of squares
and color flaring.
Will accept 16 bits/pixel or 48 bit color if software such as Artscan Pro is utilized.. from a 30mb image to a 80 mb image. Nice transitions.
Does not handle well Matte (non-glossy) photo's with the UV
protective coating . Unable to compensate for refractive coating.
Handles Glossy photo's well.
We give it a 4 out of 5
