The Bottom Line Call ahead - drop off car and come back later, always good service, at a reasonable (not the cheapest) price.
I always take my cars to the local Sears Auto Center for oil changes, new tires, tire rotations, battery replacements, and basic maintenance. Over the last 7 years - I have taken 4 different cars to two different Sears Auto Centers. I have noticed the following - employee retention is good, they perform the service well, and if they have made a mistake (like being out of the oil filter and only noticing the fact after they have drained the oil in the vehicle) they have admitted it and have taken care of the problem. They have also admitted when they are into a problem that they cannot fix, like an oil leak. They take a long time to see customers when they come-in - averaging 5-15 minutes to assist you during peak hours and they take a long time to perform services - so I rarely wait - I usually drop off my vehicles and go shopping or go to work and I come back 2-3 hours later. The vehicles have always been ready when I have come back to pick them up.  |
