Very tricky and their deception could have been very costly. My mother and grandmother had ordered from Haband for many years and I always thought the quality was poor but they liked what they got. It seems like the recent transactions my mom made have always ended with them sending her a refund for her check because the item wasn't available and of course they had use of her money in between.
But WORSE than that, she just noticed a charge to her bank acct. for $159.99 that she knew she didn't make. It led back to a place called Classic Rewards and they said she checked on her order in Dec. that she wanted to join their club. I told that never, ever would she do such a thing and they tried to argue that she checked a box. I explained then that she is elderly and is on a fixed, limited income and now they say that they will cancel it and send a refund but now I wonder how quick. He said "1-2 billing cycles". We will be watching and I am grateful that my mother had the wherewithall to notice it or it could have been a big problem to someone whose income is $1200 per month!
