I first came across Half.com when a new semester began at school and I needed books as cheap as I could find them, half.com did just that. Because members are rated on things like timeliness of shipping I did receive the books very quickly.
Half.com is an affiliate of ebay that sales discounted items, it is a very user friendly website in which you can buy or sell items. There are six categories, they are books, textbooks, music, movies games, and game systems to buy or sell items. Half.com is comparable to a giant yard sale, its just online. This website is nice to find items that are not even made anymore.
Before you can buy or sell your items however you do need to establish a free account. All that is involved in establishing an account is following the link, and it provides easy step-by-step instructions.
Selling your items is very simple you just click on the link that says sell my stuff and follow the instructions. Just be forewarned that half.com does keep fifteen percent of what you earn off a sell as their commission. However it is nice to clear those items out of your house that just stack up because you don't know what else to do with them, such as books that you have already read. Sellers are rated on their service such as speediness of shipping, which helps in deciding who to buy from when there are many of the same items for sale.
I recommend half.com to anyone especially college students when it comes time to buy books for the semester.
