You have my sympathy about the smoking. Each time you lose the cigarette battle, maybe thinking of this will help:
Losing: If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style.
or
Risks: If you never try anything new, you'll miss out on many of life's great disappointments.
BTW, you're on to something in those commercials. "Don't think of a white elephant. Don't think of a white elephant." And thanks for reading and rating me!

Yeah but those bromides (Reply to this comment)

aren't as offensive as those goddam anti-smoking commercials. I'll be driving along, minding my own business, chewing some Wrigley Spearmint, orally gratified to the max, and then one of those friggin public service spots comes on the radio, reminds me of the cigs on my dash, and causes me me fire one up. Oh, yes, and Have a Happy Day! (insert emoticon here)

Bravo. Well said. But I don't think anyone is as serious as a TQM true believer, except, maybe, a Feng Shui believer. Have a swell Festivus!

if I had employees... (Reply to this comment)

...I would paper the whole office with this sort of stuff, just to remind everyone that business rah-rah is no substitute for hard competence, swift response and finishing the job. I am serious as a TQM true believer.
Cheers, and good holidays to you.
