I placed an order for a MZ-R900 Minidisc player along with a case and Sony headphones for it on Nov 30th. On the Dec 5th, I called to see why my order was not shipped yet since it said everything was in stock on the website. It was only then they informed me that they no longer had those headphones, and claimed they were no longer made, which I found out to be untrue from Sony. So instead of calling me and letting me know of this, they were nice enough to wait until I called to let me know of the problem. I decided not to get the headphones and changed my order over the phone and they credited my credit card for the change in price. Then I received an email that day saying my order was placed and I would receive a UPS tracking number once the package was shipped and then on the 6th I received a UPS tracking number. I called Etronics on the 10th concerning the tracking number, it was 4 days later and it still did not work. They told me then that it had shipped on the 6th, and it would probably just take a while for the tracking number to work. On the 15th the tracking number still did not work, after numerous calls to UPS they said that there were no packages shipped from Etronics to me. I have to complement the people at UPS customer service, they went out of their way to try to help me even though it wasn't their problem. After numerous calls and emails, I was told the package has shipped either the 8th or the 10th now, not the 6th as they had previously said. A few more days went by and the more frustrated I got with Etronics. Unlike what their phone recording says every time you call, they are not their for the customer. I found they had a bad attitude towards me, and one even hung up on me! I finally got so frustrated with their lies that them I told them if I had not received the package by the 19th I wanted my credit card refunded. It was the 18th and the tracking number still wasn't working, which meant it still wasn't shipped. I checked again the morning of the 19th, and it was the package was finally shipped the night of the 18th. A full 18 days after I first placed my order! They kept telling me the package was shipped and they would not put a trace on the package to find out if it was. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and now I'm told by UPS I might get it January 2nd! If it had been shipped when I ordered it I wouldn't have had this problem! I also noticed on their website that the minidisc player case I ordered was out of stock by now. I am wondering if that was the hold up or not, but either way, they still reassure me it was shipped on the 8th or 10th. I have shopped online many many times, and to be honest I was not too impressed with some of the places customer service... however, that was until I talked to Etronics customer service. I would be happy to have their mediocre customer service rather than be lied to and be hung up on. I know their prices are a little lower than most places, but it is honestly not worth it in the long run. Other review say the same thing about their customer service, so it's not just an isolated incident. I'd highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Thanks for making Christmas for me so bad Etronics, you have ruined my Christmas.
