| winjet's Full Review: NAD 317 NAD Integrated Amplifier |
Replacing my Onkyo 80w/channel receiver with the NAD 317 integrated amp was one of the smartest choices I've made for my audio system. This is not an amp for movies as it does not support 5.1 or surround of any format. It does not feature 'processed' sound enhancement modes or flashy lights and tons of useless buttons that many Japanese manufacturers offer as marketing gimmicks. Instead, this is a straight forward top-notty audiophile quality amp for the serious music lover at a very reasonable price. The sound quality improvement over my Onkyo amp is truely noticeable. The NAD provides a clean powerful 80W/channel and is superb. The only slight drawback is the chinsy remote - but since I use the Marantz RC1200 universal remote for all my stereo equipment, it really doesn't matter to me.
Highly recommended!
