Pops 10 Best Places To Visit In the United States
by popsrocks | Jul 22 '07
This great nation has much to see. I know there are more I would add to this list if I had more time and good fortune to visit even more.

written Phil, your love for these places shines through. Out of your list, I've been to NY, the Niagara falls, NO and Vegas. Been to some other places in the USA too, and my top destination still is... the Grand Canyon! Ok, Ok, it's not a "place" per se, NY then :o) Oh, to be back at the MOMA!

Thanks for a great read.

Middle America made it (Reply to this comment)

I was so glad you found some place in middle America that would make a good place to visit. Else it evidently is still the fly over country.

I have been to this area and it is worth the trip, but we do have many other interesting places.

and I agree with NYC, Niagara Falls, and Las Vegas. The Keys, for me, left a lot to be desired. Different strokes...

As for the others, I have yet to visit them.

I would add The Smoky Mountain National Park area to my top 10 list.

I think I need a few more years to figure out what exactly my top ten would be, but you've listed off some of my favorite (New Orleans, the Keys, Maine....) I look at my growing list as a work in progress, however, I may just get started on it sooner than later.

Thanks for sharing Phil!

with all your choices, there's only 2 that I have somehow missed, but if I were to make a list I would include your 8,the Pacific northwest and Alaska...

great idea...I might use it someday for my own list...:)

New Orleans (Reply to this comment)

I just recently visited New Orleans post Katrina, and was surprised how well preserved the French Quarter was. Some of the outskirts did not fare so well. It's an interesting place for a brief visit, but I certainly would not want to live there. Interesting choices. Sheila

In October/November I hope to be seeing three of your top ten.

The best of all, Tony and I hope to be seeing you and your good lady wife in New York.

Thanks for all the advice that you have sent me.With all the research I have been doing, I think I could write a book already.

All the best,

Gill.
