Corrupt and incompetent, stay away!

Ediets is not at all what I was expecting and I am horrified by the incompetent customer service every time I call. They pull you in with a "grand total" $17.xx then impose a 3 month membership. If that is the case, how can it be a "grand total"? Absolutely horrible customer service; the first time I called to cancel my membership, "Steve" went through the whole process then did not send any kind of confirmation. I then emailed them asking for a cancellation number or some other form of confirmation and kept getting canned responses back that did not address my question. I've even tried sending the same question in different words explaining that they did not answer the question with the last response. I still got the canned response that was completely useless. The people that answer email and the phone representatives are polite, but incompetent. I do not recommend them and am considering reporting them for fraud. In addition, the diet plan is not any more helpful that the free sparkpeople.com plans. It is actually less helpful, at least Spark lets you configure more food options. The Jillian Michaels plans seems much better, but after this experience I am staying away from all paid diet websites.
