the way the PROS break in their gloves

The Bottom Line just work it

Ok, now i know that alot of people suggest an oven, microwave, or even putting your glove under a mattress, these do not work and do nothing but damage your glove.

These steps are recommended for professional glove ($150-$300), such as Nokona, Rawlings Pro Preffered, Heart of the Hide, A2000, A2K, etc.

1. Use a glove conditioner such as Rawlings glovolium, or Wilson Pro Stock oil. Now only put the oil on where the glove folds, usually where a crese in the leather is when you squeeze the glove.

2. If a part of the glove is especially tough, mink oil and vasoline work great.

3. Just play catch! This will form the pocket to your personal needs and works the best. If you have no one to play catch with or just want another way to soften the leather, using a mallet of some sort to pound away at the gloves pocket works great.

4. If you need a quick way to break in any glove, but remember, this method might make the glove a little bit less durable and will shorten the life of the glove. Rub shaving cream WITH ALOE all over the glove, make sure theres aloe because it helps.
