Will never buy Sur La Table again

Well, unfortunately I bought a beautiful EXPENSIVE double boiler from Sur La Table. After 3 or so years time the handle leaks copious amounts of water out of the bracket holes. I took it in to the store and they told me that's part of normal wear and tear and my problem. At first they told me to mail it to France to have it fixed (from California!) LOL. They told me it needs to be retinned every few years too and that's why mine is leaking. I am very angry. Nobody told me this when I bought it and that it was NORMAL for an expensive pot to fall apart in so short a time. It also came with cancer warnings because of the handles. I will NEVER again buy from Sur La Table and never again buy a Mauviel product.
