Pros: No other cook book required.
Cons: I purchased it in England in 1967. Can it still be found?

I have to agree with everything that Susan said about this book. We had a copy when we were first married in 1971 and, although the dust cover has been lost, it is still in regular use today.

The pages at the front with the weights and measures, oven temperatures and conversions are invaluable and the recipes are simple, clear and easy to follow. Best of all, they work and produce delicious meals.

My wife referred to this book more than any other in her large collection of international cookbooks and I still use it today when I need to look up a recipe.

This is the only cookbook a young coupleshould ever need when starting out life together - my son is trying to get me to part with it, so I am looking for a copy for him and his girlfriend - they're not having mine! Anyone prepared to part with a copy? It's not easy to track down.

This one might be worth looking for on the site now or fill out the SAP on Books board.
