This is a really cool book to have. The Moosewood lodge has been around for a long time and is well known for their cozy cuisine. This book is full of new vegetarian twists on old favorites. There is a great macaroni and cheese recipe which sound really strange, but it's awesome!
Vegetarian type recipes can be intimidating to some, but Mollie Katzen has given them a zippy, interesting flare, with the added touch of down-home comfort. The cute illustrations give the book a warm, homey feel. Once you've tried the veggie versions, you can branch out on your own and add some carnivore’s touches of chicken, fish or even wild game to satisfy the meatiest of meat eaters!
