This is a greasy organization that will throw every trick in the book at you. Watch out.
For example, I recently bought a TV from them. They were selling the floor models for the same price as brand new units. I found the one store with the TV still in the box. It was a good thing I called ahead and had the TV set aside because the sales clerk who accosted me when I entered the store lied right off the bat and told me the advertised price was only for floor models. I brushed him off and went to the store manager who had the TV set aside for me. So that worked out in the end but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
A few weeks later I called around to find a store that carried the washer and dryer I found advertised on their web site. The first store I spoke with quoted a much higher price on the washer. I told him I was looking right at their web page and gave him that price. He feigned buffudlement and told me to bring in a printout of the page and he would see if he could come close to matching it. My read on his comment was he just wanted to get me into the store and sell me on something more expensive along with accessories which is where a big part of their profit comes from. I asked him to save me the trouble of going over there to find out if he could come close to the web ad's price and just tell me if he would sell me that unit for that price. That went nowhere.
I called another store. I gave them the exact model number and confirmed the price and availability. He told me he had the washer but the dryer would take a few days to ship. I said fine and asked to do the deal on the phone. He said no, you have to come in. I spent two hours to make what should have been a 20 minute drive to Rivergate due to the worst traffic jam I've ever experienced in Nashville only to find they didn't actually have the washer model we discussed. To my non-surprise they tried to sell me on a much more expensive washer and dryer. I also found out that their $50 delivery and installation fee applies only if there are 7 stair steps or less. Every additional flight of steps means another $50 - something else they neglected to mention when I asked on the phone. So that greaseball BS'd me on available inventory and cost me the better part of an afternoon a few gallons of gas just to get me in the store and in the clutches of these psycho salesmen who like to change the rules at the last minute and sell you more expensive equipment.
If you want to avoid the gauntlett of used car salesmen and all their dirty tricks at EE, look up the item on the web, call the store, confirm the price, make a note of the salesman's name, and tell him to set it aside for you, and hope the unit is actually in the store when you get there. Don't talk to any salesmen other than the one you spoke to when you get there. Best of luck!
