I don't know how I stumbled upon this web store, but I am so glad that I did. I got my DVD player about 6 months ago, and this is by far the best place to get DVD's--both online and in real stores. Here's why...
1. The selection-- they have just about everything you could possibly want. My dad wanted the Romeo and Juliet from the 1960's and DVDEmpire.com had it!
2. No sales tax. I live in NY, so I don't have to pay tax on my orders.
3. Competitive shipping costs. They don't overcharge you, and you get your orders VERY promptly and safely.
Again, I have to emphasize that the prices are very good. They are less than I have ever seen in any "real" store. Even with shipping added on, it is still the economical choice if you are a DVD junkie like myself. So far my family's collection is at 45, and a good number of those DVD's have been ordered through DVDempire.com.
I did have a slight problem with an order once. For some reason it didn't seem to be processed after it was sent. I called up customer service and they fixed the problem. They were very polite and they gave me a complementary upgrade on the shipping.
