On 12/20/01 I called Sears parts department and ordered a timer assembly for our Kenmore dryer. Everything with the ordering process went fine and they said I would receive the part on 12/26/01.
When my part was not delivered on 12/26/01 I went to Sears.com and found that it was shipped on 12/20/01. I paid $10.99 for shipping but no tracking information was available. We called Sears on 12/27/01 and they said the part was shipped via Airborne but they did not have any tracking information. They said someone would call us back with more info.
It's 12/28/01 and still no part! I called Customer Service again and they said someone from the main office would be calling me today. I asked to be connected to the main office but they refused and insisted that someone would call me.
What a deal, $10.99 for shipping and no tracking info; they could have shipped it via USPS Priority Mail with tracking for less than $5.
At this point, I would not recommend ordering parts directly from Sears. If I ever receive the part, I will amend this review.
