So long as reviewers will contribute I will continue the write off. Thanks for bringing to my attention your review and this book.

and saw yours. I'm so glad someone is continuing this tradition.

I hosted the first "Banned Books Writeoff" in 2000, and reviewed one of my favorites, "Flowers for Algernon."

If I have time, I'll try to do one for your writeoff, too.

That's OK, there are multiple ways to consider the book and it's a tribute to the author that she was/is so highly regarded.

Thanks.

That is such a classic and wonderful book. I've read it several times as an adult. Thanks for contributing.

Reading outside our normal genre can be challenging, but it sounds like this was valuable experience. These books make us dig deeper and thinker differently.

I like your suggestion for a post-conversation with adolescent children after they read this (other other controversial books). I hope that all parents monitor their children's reading and follow up with positive constructive conversation.

Here is the review of the first banned book I chose to read. It was definitely an interesting read.

Alice is one of those books that has me wondering too. Hope to see some comments from you on this.

My French book won't qualify, but have wanted to read more of the Alice series by Naylor. Strange it should be banned! Hope your write-off is a great one.
