On Apr 25th I placed my order. On April 27th my credit card was charged for the blind with an additional "processing fee." However, they forgot to actually process my order, so a full week goes by with nothing done to my order. I, myself, call to get an ETA on my shipping, and I'm told my order hasn't even been sent off yet to the manufacturer (mind you I had to call to find this out, so who knows how long I might have waited). Yesterday, a full 9 days later (7 days after my credit card is charged) my order is sent to the manufacturer. Their excuse was a small detail held up the order. However, the small detail (I couldn't get a wand tilt bc of the size of my blind) was addressed in the morning on Apr 27 before they charged my credit card, so apparently someone just forgot to "process my order."
After complaining, I'm told they'll "rush production" of my order and give me 2nd day air shipping for free. Sucks I had to wait, but fine, at least they "seem" to be trying to fix it. The next day, I'm giving an estimated manufactured date and shipping date (5/12/10 and 5/14/2010); today is the 5th.
When I placed the order, I was told 5 manufacturing days initially. I have already waited 10 days, and now the "rush production" is another 7 days (estimated)?!?! What the heck is so rushed about that? Sounds longer than what I was originally told before my order was screwed up.
Not only that, I go onto HomeDepot.com and find the exact same blind (same brand, same make, same options, everything) for $40 cheaper.
I'm sure you can figure out how this ended.
My recommendation, stay clear of Blinds.com. My blind was $200 and this was the customer service I received. I guess I need to spend $1,000 or so before I at least get some decent customer service.
