Disorder

Sep 27 '07

The Bottom Line Samuel Butler said, "Man is the only animal that can remain on friendly terms with the victims he intends to eat until he eats them."

He feeds upon inflicting pain
Unmindful of another’s sorrow
He feels the urge to deeply wound
Carefully planning his attacks for tomorrow.

To hurt another is such a horrid thing
The innocent always do the paying
Why must he go around
Chopping, cutting and slaying?

He doesn't allow an Equal Rights battle
He hides behind hypocritical words
Each skirmish he declares, "I won it!"
We know his boasting is for the birds.

He walks within the family circle
A black vulture with a sharp beak
He leaves his victims wounded and bleeding
To form a human compost heap

I keep my distance and watch my back
Since he refuses to follow the rules of the game
Does he ever reflect on past mistakes where
He clearly has none other but his own self to blame.

His wickedness lies on rotted leaves
He's lost all trace of feeling
He laughs about the fact that he
Tricked his friends with all his double-dealing.
