We got our HP in September to make the home education program we are involved with easier. Wow! I had no idea that a person could do so many things with one handy device!
The first thing my kids did was help me to hook it up to our computer. It comes with a self-explanatory poster which was more than convenient for a tech-no-idiot like myself. Unfortunately, I did have problems hooking into phone lines. I got frustrated and walked a way from it. My 10 year old showed me where I was connecting the jack from the HP back into the other side of the HP instead of the phone jack. There are three portals on the back of this product, which are easy to figure out IF you are paying attention.
Our first application involved copying a picture. I was pleasantly surprised as the copy came out every bit as perfect as the original picture. I haven't quite figured out just how much money we are saving printing up our own photo's but we are saving. The replacement cost of the ink cartridges is right around $40.00 but I haven't had to replace those yet.
The next thing we did was to fax in some paper work to our home school main office. I was concerned about sending the fax so I called right away after I sent the fax. It arrived just fine and I was very happy about that. We are home educating our three children. With the fax, I can save big bucks in postage sending in work examples and progress reports.
My daughters have taught me how to scan things onto the computer and send them out thru the email. By the way, I have some very bright daughters!! I often wonder who is educating who here!
I highly recommend the HP. It is quick and reliable and very easy to use.
