I had a friend that was expecting her second baby, and I had wondered for months what I was going to buy her. Finally a few days after they came home from the hospital, I decided to have some flowers delivered. I have ordered flowers before, but this was the first time I had used 1800flowers.com.
The site is pretty well organized, and I shopped by occasion for ‘new baby' they had a good amount of stuff to choose from, not only arrangements but plants and even pink and blue chocolate dipped strawberries.
Prices are pretty decent on the site as well. I happen to use Ebates for my online purchases, and it happened so at the time of my purchase that Ebates had a 15% off code to use. Most of the arrangements start anywhere from $29-49 base price and then you can go up from there. I chose a moderate sized bouquet along with a small keepsake frame for $39.99.
As for delivery charges, well they are $14.99. I ordered then for next day delivery, and it was the same price. Some zip codes though, not all the arrangements are available, you just sort of have to toy around with it to see if the arrangement you want can be delivered in your area.
I got an email shortly after I ordered saying my order had been placed. Now I had gotten next day delivery, and I was concerned if it was going to happen, because by 2 pm the next day I hadn't gotten an email saying my flowers were delivered. But at 3 pm I got an email letting me know the order had been delivered.
As for the quality of flowers, well I didn't get to see them in person so I can only assume that they were nice because my friend let me know right away she got them.
As for shopping here again, I probably would if I found another arrangement that I liked. The delivery charges are pretty decent and they have a good amount of stuff to choose from. I would recommend it.
