THE CURE (1995) a must seen movie (Reply to this comment)

There have been listed a bunch of good ever emotional movies in the list but all have forgotten about one of the most emotional masterpiece work where i found most of them didnot seen it.But to say true to my opinion The cure (1995) is a masterpiece much should be seen in higher rank of those list of the above. If anyone didnot seen this movie, please watch it out and find out a realistic emotional movie which says about 2 childrens who became dear friends where one contract with AIDS (11 years boy) through blood transfusion and later part of the film they trying to find a cure for AIDS is really heartfull and ofcourse by the climax it makes everyone shed into tears especially when the dying kid is seen happy playing with his only friend and making others fun.Its a movie where everyone should watch it,specially who loves emotions. It got around more than 10 superb emotional scences and the music by Dave grusin is simply a melodious and outstanding work. Its soundtrack is such a wonderful which enlight the film.Trust me if you once see it,you ofcourse see it more 10 times at different time. For an indefinite reason the movie was not much heard anywhere and thus it didnot reach to the popular list.So it became a difficult task to get the movie, that may made none to know about this movie. Anyway i made few watch this movie and they simply teared into cry and saw at more n more repeatedly and they all confused as me why this movie didnot reached to higher list,to be frank i will rank this movie as number 1 along with forest gump etc

I've probably forgotten some, but the experience is rare enough that I remember them! I haven't seen "Whose Lie," though Richard Dreyfuss already has a movie on my list (in a part with which I totally identified).

You must have either an excellent memory or take notes on everything you watch! I'm trying to think of great movies that made me cry and you didn't mention and the one that comes to mind is Who's Life Is It, Anyway? with Richard Dreyfuss. Enjoyed your essay!

You were not the only one affected by Bambi (Reply to this comment)

Yes, it made me cry, too, but I am referring to the statistics that showed a definite decrease in deer-hunting the year of its release and the years immediately thereafter. Whether the hunters were affected, oir could not break their kids' hearts, is another question.

Yeah, Emma Thompson is another actress I particularly hate to think about being overcome by disease, and feel uneasy about tempting fate by taking on the role in "Wit."

And thanks!

on that final scene of Longtime Companion - it's a weeper. I had a similar experience with the brilliant Emma Thompson film "Wit" that you did with "Away From Her" - some things hit so close to home that they turn me to mush.

Congrats on 1600!

I had no difficulty resisting "Philadelphia." Liked the song, was irritated at the lack of contact allowed between Antonio Banderas and Tom Hanks. It was redeemed by Hanks's Oscar acceptance speech.

...with Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks and Antonio Banderas. I was bawling like a baby by the middle, and reduced to a useless wet rag by the end.
