I just bought the Instead softcup and tried it for the first time today. I was getting sick of tampons and wanted to be able to have sex during this inconvenient period of time (pun intended;). I love how Instead lasts longer (up to 12 hours) than tampons or pads and it is nice not having to change it to go to the bathroom. It really is a good concept and I hope to get more comfortable with it in and trust it more with time. I haven't had a leak yet but constantly think about it. I got it in properly my first time, however I watched a video and read the directions about ten times before trying it. Removing Instead was a little bit trickier but it did work (like others say) to bear down in order to get ahold of the ring with my middle finger.

I am not quite used to Instead yet and I don't know its limitations with my body (how my movement or position will effect the seal). I don't really like the messiness of changing or making sure its still in place but I'm dealing with that. Nothing is perfect.

I haven't tried having sex with it in yet but I intend to put a clean Instead in before hand and see how it goes. My biggest fear with that is it will leak and flood everywhere. ew. I will probably tell my bf about it but I am hoping he doesn't feel it (too much).
