For some reason I can't fathom, I would like to make the following statement:

I like Mobi's comment. I am happy with it. I want more comments like it. I am proud of this comment, because I really want everyone to know how truly dastardly I am.

And, for some reason, I just know that these are not the droids I'm looking for. Really. I'm not looking for any droids, come to think of it, but these droids I'm particularly not looking for.

Er...

What just happened?!?

"Legendary"?!?!? There are Bantha more famous than your epidrivel, foul DarthProf!

:-D

Anyway, since when did you have exclusive rights on the Jedi Mind Trick? I don't even think this is the first time I have used it!!

Sorry, I didn't mean you, I was just talking in general.

Some things you just can't use a lot of words with out padding the review.

There is only so much I can say about toilet paper. :)

Well I hope I hadn't given the impression that I would rate down a VH review just because it looked short!! :-D

My own shortest VH review was, I think, about 350 words - it was a GBA game and I just found that there was nothing more to say about it than I'd already said!

Thanks for the comment,

I rate how I see fit as most of us do. One thing I don't do is place a H on a review that is a VH in my opinion but is short.

I don't know for sure but I seem to see a lot of VH reviews that are well written and give all the info anyone would need to know about the product. If they are short under 500 words they are usually rated H no matter how good it is.

Just my two cents, :)

Hi Kathy - good to know that at least someone agrees with me! :-D

Pat - I know what you mean about some of the LAM reviews - some products are just extremely difficult to review well with restricted wordage. I think it needs good judgement on the part of the writer as to whether they should actually attempt in in under 667 words. We shouldn't really rate differently to normal just because it's supposed to be a good review, though - if it misses important information out that should be there, it's probably still an SH or H review. You still need to rate as you see it - I'm sure any reasonable member on the site will understand!!

Rebecca - I was thinking abou thte fact that I had a glaring omission earlier, so I've now added this information! Thanks.

May I suggest? (Reply to this comment)

It might be a good idea that if a review is plagerized, that the best way to deal with it is to rate it Don't Show, or Not Helpful, and cite the source in the comments. There's been a recent spate of them, and it's rather sad to see. Great essay, and very well done! -- Telynor

I Rarely Re-Rate (Reply to this comment)
by walkerpkw
I've left H's or maybe 1 SH on some of these Lean-N-Mean reviews lately because there really wasn't much content for the review to warrant I higher rating. Having to leave a comment explaining my rate or apology should suffice. Now that I understand how this works and see it's "for a limited time" Nov 1-30 and not every day. I'm going back and re-rate those that received less than an H.

I don't agree with the follow the leader raters either. I like to get on to the recent content, be the first to rate a few, then hit refresh button every few minutes.

Thanks for the Ride-n-Guide CaptainD,

....Cap'n. I agree with you about the MH button. I rate it when I feel a review is excellent and I find it Most Helpful to me. Many disagree with this usage, but I also agree that we all rate how we see fit.

......Make it a great day....kath
