Monkey Bread Recipe

My daughter - in- law showed me how to make this. It is fun to make and creates a lot of interest from guest. We are serving this at my younger daughter's Wedding Shower this month. Here is the recipe.

2 cans buttermilk biscuit dough
Melted butter
Sugar
Cinnamon

Cut each raw biscuit into 4 pieces. Roll dough into balls. Dip in melted butter. Then Drop into ziplock bag which equal amounts of sugar and cinnamon have been added. Shake until dough is well coated. Place coated dough balls into a greased tube cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approxiamately 30-35 minutes or until dough springs back when pressed down.

Cool slightly in pan. Then turn over on cake pan to completely cool and remove from pan. Bread will be in the shape of a ring and guest can remove the balls from the ring with a serving utensil.

This is a great recipe for a cold morning when you need a hot cup of coffee and a pick me up. It can be made a day or two in advance.

The smell of cinnamon coming from your kitchen is heavenly.
