Remove from pans to cool and sprinkle tops with coarse sugar. I got this recipe out of the Taste of Home Magazine (which I also reviewed here): http://www.epinions.com/content_193607011972 It's a somewhat difficult process, slightly time consuming. My Mom/Gramma & sisters LOVED this recipe! They ask me to make it frequently. It received rave reviews. It's worth the effort because it's great for holidays & makes 3 large & beautiful looking loaves & tastes heavenly. Taste: Like a coffee bread. Simple yet the cardamon is sweet & the coarse sugar makes it a sumptious bread. Great with butter, or plain. Very good with coffee or at Christmas breakfast with eggs. Also, makes a nice gift to bring to someone's house if wrapped in colored celophane with a bow. |
