SHLEPS and SHLEP-As: a LITTLE nostalgia ...

The Bottom Line I thank you all. From the bottom of my LITTLE heart.
This has been an amazing (at least to me!) phenomenon. Who knew, when I spontaneously put a few words together, back in November, 2005, and invented the SHLEPS (SHort Ladies of EPinionS) Club, what a monster I had created!
Yes, I thought up the SHLEPS Club during an incredibly fun pun-fest and joke marathon that occurred in the comment thread of nagels' (Spudman's) review of a Step Stool. Those jokes, between Spudman, ladyconsumer, ddustyrose, and myself, went on for several days, and were deliciously delightful, at least for this participant.
At some point, busby777 joined our SMALL group, but I honestly couldn't tell you when that happened.
For many months subsequently, the SHLEPS Club joke was an occasional inside joke amongst the five of us.
However, at one point, things just .... EXPLODED! The free publicity we got as a result of Snowflake224's published interviews was a key factor. Other people definitely contributed in BIG ways, as well, such as dimeuhday, shmoo1, rkingfish, lilsquibb, iamrachael and uglybugg. Busby777 built solidarity by creating our LITTLE badges.
At that point, we were showing up all over Epinions, in various Writer's Corner pieces, reviews, message board threads, and even our extremely silly, and fun Comment Section invasions. We tormented rudixeno for his pun-ophobia, we traveled by "low-rider" car, ate at KingFishy's Restaurant, and generally had fun wherever our SMALL journeys would take us.
Once in a while, we got into a bit of mischief, as when the Message Board moderators finally locked up our Message Board invasion of Ulfson's thread. However, we were generally innocent, peace-loving creatures who did no harm.
Despite our empathy for her situation, we couldn't keep ourselves from chuckling loudly when busby777 got into a car accident .... with a LITTLE DEBBIES truck.
This month, I am smiling as I add links to submissions to "The Best LITTLE Write-Off Ever", created in honor of SHLEPS Day, the Shortest Day of the Year.
I write these words, to shout out a HUGE Thank you to my Epinions friends, SHLEPS and SHLEP-As, who have made life at EpinionsVille so enjoyable. I am truly fortunate to be associated with all of you wonderful, talented, dynamic folks. My cup runneth over; I have not been SHORT-changed.
