The Bottom Line These are good and bad songs in 2007/
Here we go for another review of 2007. Another review of 2007? I've never done one for 2007. And I'm not correcting myself. So live with this typo and don't spam me saying something like "You messed up your sentence in your 2007 review" cause I don't care. Bullet For My Valentine - All These Things I Hate. All these things they hate revolve around them. This is a new band and this song isn't really great, but it does kick a little behind. So it is worth listening to. GWAR - Tormentor. This really came out in 2006, and this is my first, and probably last, GWAR album, but this song is really catchy and good. The best song on the album and the catchiest song I've heard in a while. The whole sing along chorus really cuts it out. For some reason dressing up like monsters really doesn't do it. On the album cover they look like a cross between Transformers and Micro Machines. Dropkick Murphys - State of Massachusetts. Dropkicks always can bring it out fast, hard, and loud. They don't dissapoint here. Nine Inch Nails - Survivalism. Always good to hear the Nails. Their latest album doesn't dissapoint. Trent is working on a TV deal with this album or something like that. Trent thinks that the world will look bad in 7 years. Good prediction. Megadeth - A Tout Le Monde. (Set Me Free) Old song with new additions, such as the Lacuna Coil singer Cristina Scabbia, brings it out. While the old version is still great, this is also great. The duet they sing here is really great. I really dig tihs song and I don't have a shovel. Serj Tankian - Empty Walls. System of a Down frontman off to do some solo stuff. His creativity is now all credited for him. In this video, we see him wearing an Abraham Lincoln hat, playing the little piano in a childrens nursery, and swimming around in those rubber balls. Serj still has the child in him, and he seems to love it. Makes me want to go back to DZ: Discovery Zone and powerbomb a little kid into the rubber balls and jump onto him. Not a bad idea. Sixx: AM - Life is Beautiful. From Nikki Sixx's "Heroin Diaries" this is a song from that book. And it is a good song. Need I say more? AM Conspiracy - Right On Time. From Sixx AM to the AM Conspiracy. This is a song I discovered off the Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 soundtrack. Favorite song off that game, and this song is just great. Great catchiness, great drummer, great vocals, just great. Rush - Far Cry. Rush is back, and the first single off the Snakes and Arrows disc is Far Cry. Rush never dissapoints, and are never in a rush to do anything. Credit for Neal taking part in the Aqua Teen movie. The drum solo of LIFE! Hell Yeah - You Woulden't Know. What do I know? I don't know. So how can I know what these guys know? The guys from Pantera, or Damageplan, Mudvayne, and Nothingface come together to form a frenzy that will beat you up. Another Animal - Broken. Not ANOTHER animal! Yes, the guys from Godsmack drop their lead singer to bring in some other guy to form this. Not that its a bad thing, cause the song does rock. Foo Fighters - The Pretender. Mr. Grohl is back. Dave never dissapoints either. You know Dave spelled backwards is Evad? Chevelle - I Get It. I don't get it. But what I do get is that this song is good. Korn - Evolution. Yes, Korn did bring out something worth listening to. Nice vocals, John. Honorable mentions: Avenged Sevenfold - Almost Easy. The Bravery - Time Wont Let Me Go. Everlast - Saving Grace. Finger Eleven - Paralyzer. Puscifer - Queen B. Velvet Revolver - She Builds Quick Machines. Static - X - Cannibal. Modest Mouse - Dashboard. Bad. And I'm not talking Michael Jackson. Kid Rock - So Hott. Sometimes I enjoy the Kid, sometimes I don't. Here, I don't. Mr. Rock dropped the ball on this one. Kid Rock - A-men. This one too. Like the message, but just not played out good enough. Scared to send children to church? Are you afraid of going to 7-11? Paramore - Misery Buisness. Eh, not feeling this one. This song starts off by saying "I'm in the business of misery." Okay. That's a good point. This isnt bad, but it doesn't make it. Silversun Pickups - Well Thought Out Twinkles. The name of this song doesn't do, and neither does the song. White Stripes - Icky Thump. I thought this song was ICKY! I mean when I listened to this I stuck my hand in a puddle of mud and thought "Oh man, this is icky" and then this song came on. It wasn't very good. Puddle of Mudd - Famous. If you have a job where you can sleep all day and still get paid, I want it. This song POM's version of Nickelback's Rockstar, and they stole a line from Dire Straits Money For Nothing. Why? I don't know. Fall Out Boy - Thanks For The Memories. Originally, this song is named Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, but I refuse to type if like that because that is stupid. Yeah, alternative at its best right there. Seether - Fake It. Was never really into the boys from South Africa, and this song is actually not too bad, but I don't enjoy it too much. I'm bad, arn't I? You know it. Really really bad. And the whold world wants to know whos bad? It's me. Evanescene - Call Me When Your Sober. Why? Don't want to. Overrated movie of the year: 300. Yes, this movie is overrated. I've seen it twice, and lost focus on the story both times. The fight scenes is what its all about, but even they weren't that good. I'll stop the madness here. I'll finish this up. Happy new year and don't........do anything......weird....like........raise the dead..... |
