Like most of you, I own a vacuum. It's only a couple of years old and a well known brand (Eureka). I'd have written on it, but alas, Epinions doesn't have it listed (least not last time I checked). So, what does my vacuum have to do with Sears.com you ask? Well, let me tell you.
My ordering experience with Sears.com
At the time of this writing I've placed two orders with Sears.com and have been very happy with each one. The first order was made about a year and a half ago. My vacuum needed it's bag to be changed, no biggie, right? That's what I thought. Until my husband went out to find some replacement bags. He went to every store in our town (and a few surrounding towns) and not one of those stores carried the bags for our vacuum. Unbelievable!
That's when I turned to the internet. I checked Sears.com and lo and behold, they carried our vacuum bags! Not only did the carry them, but they came in a pack of 10 and were pretty darn cheap. I placed the order and waited for them to arrive.
My carpet was a mess and I really needed to vacuum, so I was very happy when my order arrived in just 3 days. Never had I been so happy to vacuum. (Yes, I need help.)
My second order from Sears.com happened a few months ago. My son was past needing a new car seat. I'd finally gotten around to checking the stats of his current car seat and found that he was several inches taller than they recommend. Yikes!
Again, I looked on the internet for a booster car seat. I found the one I wanted at Sears.com, and having had a good experience the first time I ordered from them I didn't hesitate placing the order for this larger, more costly item.
The shipping time was again quick. I believe my son's booster seat arrived in 3-4 days of placing the order. Pretty good in my opinion.
I have never had a problem with the Sears.com site, nor with any order I've placed with them so I cannot really comment on their customer service. However, since Sears is a large company, I would think (and could be wrong) that they would do what they could to make any problems or errors right with the customer. Sears does have a "Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back" policy, so if need be, make use of that.
A bit more about what they offer, shipping costs, returns, etc.
Sears.com is not like entirely like an online Sears store. Sears.com does not sell clothing, shoes or other such items like their department stores do. What Sears.com does sell are baby items (bedding, strollers, car seats, play equipment, etc.), Housewares (appliances, cookware, cutlery, flooring, etc.), Large Appliances, Fitness Equipment, Computers, Electronics, Lawn Care items and more.
Shipping costs are reasonable enough. I've only used their standard shipping, which is UPS ground and have received my items in 3-4 days. They also offer a 2 day air option, overnight and reduced shipping to APO/FPO addresses.
If a return or exchange is needed Sears.com offers a couple of options. All items ordered from Sears.com can be returned by mail, and most can also be returned at any local Sears Store. Note that items must be returned "in the original packaging materials. [And] shipping and delivery charges are not refundable." [Taken from the web site]
bops_mom's Recommendation
Based upon my good experience with Sears.com I plan to use them in the future. Their prices are the same as other department stores (and sometimes much less - watch for the many sales they have), the shipping charges are not excessive and the items arrive quickly. I recommend you check out Sears.com today to see if they have what you're looking for.
Thanks for reading!
