Just did a quick search to see if your reviewed it. I didn't see it.
Ya gotta link me if you already have or write soon if you haven't.
I would like to hear of your experience.

That white water rafting through Grand Canyon is high on my list of wishes.
Let me know when we should do it.

Very Nice ... Thanks for Sharing! (Reply to this comment)

Years ago I used to travel the Intercoastal waterways from New Orleans to Florida or up the Mississippi and Green Rivers by way of a Tug Boat and Coal Barges. I also traveled with him over to Port Arthur, Galvaston and Houston Tx when time allowed.
My husband was a Boat Captain for a company out of New Orleans and I would often take trips with him.
I would have my lounge chair set up on the end of barge 1 and enjoy the sights and the cool breezes. I used to laugh knowing it was his Idea of taking me on a Cruise... I look back now and I think about... "Those were the Days" Great memories! Beautiful sights and the memories of Sunsets and Sunrises...who could ask for more... like he used to say "People spend Big Bucks to take Cruises and here we get to spend quality time together on the water and GET PAID for it!"
My trips got shorter once I had my daughter but his parents were wonderful about keeping her just so we could spend time together when she was small...
On his off time we traveled the USA by land not sea.
I Loved those days and Miss them Terribly, sadly they ended when he became ill and passed away in 1998. I keep those memories close to my heart.
I loved reading about your adventures... Thanks for Sharing!

Mulling over some of the "great boat rides" in the U.S., I'd have to talk about doing a classic steamboat trip, like the Delta Queen, up the Mississippi, taking a canoe trek through the immense Boundary Waters Canoe Area along the U.S./Canadian border, doing a white water rafting trip through the Grand Canyon (or along the Rio Grande in Big Bend), and maybe doing some kind of great sailing adventure, a la the "Tall Ships".
The possibilities are enormous.

What a neat list! (Reply to this comment)

All of them sound like a lot of fun -- especially being able to buzz around NY harbor. I hope to hear more of your maritime adventures. (Personally, I'd suggest Milford Sound in NZ.) -- Telynor
