Is It Time for the LOST to Be Found?
Jan 31 '08
The Bottom Line At long last, rescue for our castaways! Celebrate while you can...
It's been a long, long time since we last saw Jack and his buddies learning that rescue was on the way. Before we find out what really happens to them when the supposed rescuers come, here's a little rah-rah speech I imagine Jack making as they wait, to the tune of the Decemberists' Sons and Daughters. (It's a rather imprecise parody - I switched the second half of the second verse with the second half of the third verse. Forgive me; I'm a little rusty!) Bring on season four!
When They Arrive
When they arrive, Eight One Fivers,
They'll hail the great crash survivors.
They'll interview us on CNN.
We'll make a mint at minimum then.
We will be courted by reporters.
Our books will sell out at Borders.
The bonds that made this place livable
Are sure to stay unbreakable then.
We'll flee from harm, Eight One Fivers,
Thanks to the brave deep-sea diver
Who risked his life for everyone,
But most of all, Claire and her son.
When they arrive, Eight One Fivers,
They'll hail the great crash survivors.
They'll interview us on CNN.
We'll make a mint at minimum then.
(Repeat three times)
We have been found, castaways.
We have been found, castaways...
(Fade out)
