Yes, Jan, INTO THE WILD was one of the more neglected films, in terms of recognition, last year.

Still haven't seen most of these films, but did see No Country recently and thought it very good. Michael Clayton was interesting, but didn't seem special. Assassination of JJ also was okay, but Into the Wild was one of the best. Anyway, I'm just glad Once won for Best Song.

Thank you, Don. I'm glad to have kept up this tradition. This entry must be my Ninth in the Oscar Predictions category. I don't seem to get much better with practice, I'm afraid.
I'm sure that we will both be close to our TV's later today.
Thanks again for the greeting.

Thank you, smorg.
Actually, in order to check out my usual Oscar ineptness, all you have to do is turn on your TV to ABC later this afternoon or early evening, depending on where you live.
The selections for 2008, you are right, do seem to me of a bit higher order.
"There Will Be Rain," says the Weatherman, but so far this Sunday, not as much has fallen as was predicted.
Regards.

Nice to see you back in action and this is a fascinating list of predictions that will be fun to check against the results.
Cheers!

I'm anxious to see how your predictions would fare in a few weeks, bro. :o) I'm totally clueless, having only seen 4 of the films listed! Time to hit the cinema instead of the theaters, it seems.
Hope the weekend is going well your way!
Cheerio,
Smorgy :o)
