Like you, I was shocked that Carly was in the bottom 3. I love that song (and noticed you gave it your highest mark.) While Simon is often correct, although in a rude way, I think he totally missed the mark in his criticism of Carly and that may have influenced the vote. Enjoyed this review.

Looking back at the scores I handed out, I was probably a little generous across the board.
I agree with you about Castro - he is a likeable kid, but way out of his depth in this competition. I still say Carly is one of the best singers in the competition though.

I thought the Irish chick's performance definitely had its moments, but I thought she was a little off-key at times. As for Syesha, I think she's gorgeous, and I like her personality, but I didn't think she did a great job on "Yesterday." I think it was in the wrong key for her voice. I love David Cook, but I think he needs to change things up a bit or people will get bored. I just don't get Jason Castro. How is he on the show? I mean, he has a nice voice, but he's pretty ordinary if you ask me. Sounds like kids at my college sitting out on the hill with bongo drums.
