A Reconsideration?

The Bottom Line Just a bit of a notice--that's all.
Well, this is surprising news!
I recently received an online message from a well-respected writer on Epinions.com that they were saddened by my absence.
At first, I was definitely a bit skeptical, as first and foremost, I thought I was getting nowhere. But, the more this person talked to me, the more I could realize that they truly valued my input.
That being said, perhaps I'm being a bit too hard on myself. Again, I'm not here for the drama---attention, perhaps--but that is something we all thrive on in one way or another. If this were untrue, we would write all our reviews in isolation and put them into our closet where only we would see them the next time we ventured into it.
One thing to point out---I love to write, and what comes from my mind and my heart is open and honest. That might put me into a bit of a vulnerable state, but I really can't worry about that part. Those who come to me and give honest, open, and constructive criticism are the ones who value me and what I have to say. Those same people are the ones who know what's going on in the writing world, and have the guts to keep on doing what they love best. I've lost that spirit in the past few months, but perhaps there are a few people out there (that I thought didn't exist) that will help me get back on my feet, too.
So, to the person who messaged me, and may eventually read this, thank you. You do not realize how much it means that you took the time to speak with me personally and tell me that you did value the articles I posted here. This is not to reduce those who comment on my articles, because their words are just as important.
Continue pressing on, my friends. I may just come back when you least expect it.
