.. Some people have the idea that it is tough to write a 'helpful' or 'very helpful' movie review. For instance, one user recently opined: "I don't write movie reviews. they make me nervous." A fellow user offered immediate support: "I'm sure you would do a good job with a movie review. :)" when they read the above message board post. Another user chimed in with more words of encouragement: "Me too...xxxx, You can do it ...:)" And still later, another user offered this thought: "I'm not trying to pressure you or anything..but I still think you could do it. :)" While this user, your writer, a denizen of the 'movies' category, wondered how any Eps regular could find writing a 'movies' review hard, especially an Eps veteran member. Pshaw..!! In the spirit of: - knowing how fun and reasonably easy writing in 'movies' is, - recognizing the ability of this particular reluctant user to meet the challenge of writing a 'movies' review, and... - having faith in my fellow users here to answer my call to arms, ...I announce the ' Lets Help Motivate Kimm to Write a 'Movies' Review..!! First, Kimm has to accept the challenge. ( Do not make us beg you Kimm, it will not be pretty..!! ) ( Update: Kimm has indeed already accepted, via e-mail, the idea of participating in a 'writing challenge' this month. Heck no I did not tell her what I had up my sleeve..!! ) 2. In the spirit of 10-4-10, Kimm will write that dang 'movies' review in exchange for the published reviews of nine co-conspirators and myself (and all those who want to dog-pile on...) 3. Kimm may challenge each user individually with a category or make a blanket challenge for a 'VH' product review (of the writer's choice) in a general category or categories. ( Update: Again, see the comment thread for Kimm's acceptance and review challenge. ) 4. Kimm's review need not be published until all ten of the 'challenge reviews' are published. 5. Of course, anyone may join in. Perhaps Kimm may even offer 'double or nothing' on the challenge. Perhaps challenge the next ten for a second 'movies' review..?? 6. This is all in good fun. 7. All requests to 'play' will be accepted in comments here. First nine (plus myself) will be the official 'ten' challengers. Those who wish to add an insurance review may also do so. 8. Official deadline for all entries and Kimm's 'challenge review' will be May 31, 2008. Link to this essay, rate as you normally would, blah, blah, blah. 9. (In Emergency: Break glass; add Ground Rule 9.) 10. Most important rule: everyone has fun and does not take this too seriously..!! Anyway . . .that is it. I trust Kimm will take this in the 'fun spirit' it is intended and I hope she is thrilled with the number of users backing her, indeed ...any Eps user, in contributing to Epinions 'movies' category.
