Nice list! I saw most of the moives on that list. I guess I'm too young to watch the ones made in the 80s and 70s.

Since you didn't list it... (Reply to this comment)

...I heartily recommend one of my top-5 zombie flicks, 1981's Dead and Buried.
Anyway, very nice list.

I liked that movie, and I know it was technically the first Romero film, but I still personally stand by DAWN of the DEAD as THE ZOMBIE film. It was actually the film that got a lot more notice, and it really was a better film. Kind of like Evil Dead II is where Bruce Campbell and Raimi really shined. Evil Dead didn't have the Campbellisms or the humor that Evil Dead II did. Another example of the second being better is Road Warrior. In the states, no one ever heard of Mad Max, but Road Warrior was a cult classic and made Mel Gibson a household name.
It is just personal opinion though. I have the first three Romero films, Night, Dawn and Day all next to each other in my horror film collection. Heck I even have all three Resident Evil films, although they aren't quite the same caliber as the original Romero films. I also own and enjoyed both the 28 Days/weeks Later.

....Night of the Living Dead did not make the list! The first, the original, it sometimes looks like the low budget movie it was, but DANG! It hit notes of raw terror that defined the genre.
Nice list though...I've yet to see Planet Terror or Fido...I guess I should get around to that.

I've never seen that one! I will check it out!
I have seen quite a number of zombie movies, all the Romero films, all the Bannon films, a number of low budget foreign films, all the Resident Evil sequels etc.
Thanks!

But I can't believe that you left off one of the first and, in many ways, the most reasonably believable Zombie movie: I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE.
Check it out.

I liked 28 Weeks Later, but it wasn't as terrifying as 28 Days Later. It was much better than 28 Days though!
I liked the last Rambo movie! It had more blood and gore than any horror film I've seen too. Thanks for stopping by.

Top 10 that's all? (Reply to this comment)

A few movies like "28 Weeks Later" come to mind. The B movie community has been making some serious contendors lately as well. What about Sylvester's latest performance in "Rambo"?
Seriously, great review.
