that SB Live and Audigy cards should not be place on the ends of the pci slot but placed in the middle slots. With that said I just got Audigy 2 card and the sound is awesome. I have a AMD 1700 with an MSI Nforce 420 Pro motherboard, so I don't have the Via chipset problems like some people were having.

It's too bad that you had problems with this card. One suggestion I would have had for you is to see if the slot you installed it in shares IRQs or not. The Soundblaster cards are infamous for not working well unless they have a dedicated IRQ.
I'm also curious what makes this a game card, and how does the firewire work.
